
Age 51 days, T-ve, B-ve, NK-ve Severe Combined Immunodeficiency

At 10 days of life she presented with cough, fever and loose stools. She was admitted and treated with IV antibiotics for five days. She was readmitted with similar problem after two days and again treated with IV antibiotics for seven day. She was suspected to have immunodeficiency and her investigations including lymphocyte subset analysis and immunoglobulin was consistent with B-,T-,NK- SCID.
There was history of death of elder brother at 2 months of age due to pneumonia, however no diagnosis of any underlying etiology could be made.
Bareera received first dose of IVIG on 23rdJan 2023 and was started on prophylactic Co-trimoxazole and Acyclovir.
Before BMT she had occasional loose stools, nappy rash and a scaly rash over the trunk. She was otherwise active and alert with no visceromegaly or lymphadenopathy
She was fully HLA matched with elder brother with no ABO mismatch. She was transplanted on 9/2/2023.
